Where:

The on-road parking just past the American Legion on Dow Rd in Carolina Beach. Use “1500 Old Dow Rd. Carolina Beach 28428” to get you close enough to smell the beer. There’s likely to be a bunch of locals parking there to fish, so maybe carpool.

Notes:

Trail! Be prepared for shiggy, water, dead fish, sunburn, tourists, prickly vines, rednecks, mosquitos, snooty homeowners, park rangers, CB police, locals on bikes, and who knows what else. You might want to sneak a peek at a map of the area before arriving so you don’t get lost on trail.

Why:

Because hashing… and beer!

What to Bring: 

$5, drinking vessel, sunscreen, virgins, whistle, coozie, a spare liver, insect repellant, dry shoes, boy toys, more virgins, change of clothes for after, etc.
